Lan, aka Chef Lando, was born in a refugee camp in Thailand after her parents fled the communist takeover of Vietnam. She came to the U.S. at six months old, and her family settled in San Diego, where food was more of a precious necessity than a way to indulge. This formative experience shaped her view of food and culinary tradition as a way to sustain, connect, and lift up families and communities. She brings this view to life at Neu Mune Farm, a regenerative farm in San Diego County, and FAMMá FARM, a frozen meal delivery company that specializes in food designed for postpartum, illness, and overall wellness.
